A stove that retains heat for up to 12 hours – Clou can do that! Clou Xtra is quite literally the highlight for anyone looking for a stove with heat storage. The Xtra heat-storage system for wood-burning stoves from Austroflamm makes Clou Xtra a genuine heat-storage stove. This patented technology keeps you snug for up to 12 hours using less than nine kilograms of logs – making heating with wood even more efficient.
Designer fireplace and heat-storage stove – Clou Xtra from Austroflamm
The oval-shaped body, elegant details in wood and the stove door crafted from robust cast iron instantly appeal to lovers of exceptional design. But it’s the round viewing window, through which you can watch the dancing flames in the firebox, that is the real eye-catcher.
Austroflamm’s patented Xtra heat storage system lets you switch between rapid heat release and extra-long heat retention simply by moving a small lever. Thanks to 110 kg of additional Xtra heat-storage mass and an overall weight of 290 kg, Clou Xtra stores the energy from 9 kg of wood and releases it as pleasant radiant heat over a period of up to 12 hours. What’s more, Clou Xtra is a DIBT-certified stove for room-sealed operation. The perfect wood-burning stove for passive homes – that’s Clou Xtra!
Are you impressed by the extra-long heat retention and exceptional design of Clou Xtra, but would prefer a stove with a baking function? Then Clou Xtra Back is the right stove for you. We also offer two pellet stoves within the Clou family – Clou Pellet and Clou Compact Pellet.
Xtra stoves from Austroflamm – maximum heat retention, high efficiency and unmistakable design
The self-locking stove door, crafted from robust cast iron, securely seals the firebox on Clou Xtra. The firebox door is opened in style using a handle made of high-quality natural wood. A single lever, also crafted from natural wood and located on the right-hand side of the stove, controls the primary and secondary air flow. The secondary air is used for the airwash system, keeping the viewing window clean.
The stove can be connected to the chimney the traditional way with a flue pipe leading upwards, or “invisibly” directly at the rear. A connection for supplying combustion air from outside is also available.
The firebox lining made from Austroflamm’s patented Keramott, heat-resistant up to 1200°C, combines with the sophisticated combustion air system to guarantee outstanding heat output and a high efficiency level of over 80%.
Two things speak for themselves: Austroflamm stoves have emission levels well below all current limits and come with every certification necessary for operating a stove.
Boasting a nominal heat output of 8 kW, the Clou Xtra stove is ideal for heating rooms with a volume of up to 255m³.
