Cooking and heating with a stove – even without electricity!

As the saying goes, the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. And our Lucy Cook, won’t just warm your spirit – it’ll warm your tummy too! Thanks to the large hotplate, you can prepare your favourite dishes without the need for electricity or gas. The cover plate of this stove, designed as a full-surface hob, offers maximum flexibility for pots and pans of all sizes. Yet you would never guess from its appearance that this champion cook among stoves is passionate about preparing food, and it doesn’t necessarily have to while away its days confined to the kitchen either.

The stove for your kitchen-diner – Lucy Cook

Thanks to its user-orientated, traditional design, Lucy Cook is a timeless eye-catcher in your kitchen-diner. When developing the stove, it was very important to us that it could be used effectively as a stove for cooking. The entire top plate of the stove is made from solid, 8mm-thick steel, forming a generous hob. A rotary control allows you to switch between heating and cooking mode. During heating mode, the stove releases most of its heat directly into the room, whereas during cooking mode, more heat is channelled directly to the hob.

Stoves from Austroflamm – simple operation, outstanding quality and high efficiency

The robust stove door crafted from cast iron closes and locks automatically. There is also a connection for supplying combustion air from outside. This means that Lucy Cook is approved for use as a stove for room-sealed operation, which is a requirement in heavily insulated low-energy homes, for example. A single lever located on the front of the stove controls the combustion air supply, regulating both the primary and secondary air flows. The secondary air is used for what is known as the “airwash” system, which keeps the viewing window of the stove clean. This way you can enjoy the stunning play of flames inside your Austroflamm stove without any obstruction.

The stove can be connected to the chimney in the traditional way via a flue pipe leading upwards, or “concealed” directly at the rear.

The firebox lining made from Austroflamm’s patented Keramott, which is heat-resistant up to 1200°C, combines with the sophisticated combustion air system to ensure high combustion temperatures, thereby guaranteeing an outstanding heat output and a high efficiency level of 83% for the stove.

Two things speak for themselves: Austroflamm stoves have emission levels well below all current limits and are fully certified and approved for operation.

Boasting a nominal heat output of 6 kW, the Lucy Cook stove is ideal for heating rooms with a volume of up to 165 m³.
