A fireplace with self-closing door
The self-closing stove door seals the firebox securely and reliably. The closing mechanism of the firebox door also ensures that the combustion chamber remains airtight, thereby preventing any flue gases from escaping.
Simple control of the heat output
A single lever controls the supply of combustion air, regulating both the primary and secondary air flows. While the primary air stokes the fire from below – particularly during the start-up phase – the secondary air is preheated via air ducts within the stove and fed into the firebox from above.
Airwash for a clean viewing window
The preheated secondary air is used for what is known as the airwash system, which keeps the viewing window clean. This way, you can enjoy the wonderful play of flames from your Austroflamm inset fire without any obstruction.
Connecting the stove to the chimney
The fireplace can be connected to the flue at the top or directly at the rear, depending on the installation situation. There is also a connection for supplying combustion air to the combustion chamber from outside.
Performance and efficiency level of the fireplace insert
Boasting a nominal heat output of 10 kW, the 80x64 S fireplace insert is suitable for heating rooms with a volume of between 182 and 286 m³. The firebox lining, made from Austroflamm’s patented Keramott, which is heat-resistant up to 1200°C, combines with the sophisticated combustion air flow system to ensure high combustion temperatures, thereby guaranteeing outstanding heat output and a high efficiency level of 78% for the fireplace insert.
