Baked treats from a wood-burning stove – with Pallas Back from Austroflamm

Do you ever dream of a romantic fire and the aroma of freshly baked bread or cake? With the Pallas Back from Austroflamm, dreams like these come true! Pallas Back is a charming and powerful stove with a baking compartment and handy warming plates – ideal for preparing delicious meals, entirely without electricity. With their classic, country-style design, Pallas Back and Pallas are the perfect stoves for a spacious open-plan kitchen, a second home or a weekend get-away.

A stove for baking and keeping food warm – Pallas Back

With a design that combines a traditional kitchen stove with a modern wood-burning stove, Pallas Back is a timeless beauty. During the development phase, it was very important to us to create a wood-burning stove for baking and keeping food warm. The entire top plate of the stove is crafted from solid cast iron, ensuring the constant temperatures necessary for keeping food warm. The steel casing, finished in dark iron-grey varnish, gives the stove a modern look. Ceramic cladding in various colours or soapstone cladding are also available as options. When equipped with steel cladding, Pallas Back can be fitted with the tried-and-tested Austroflamm HMS heat storage system for stoves. With 114 kg of additional heat-storage bricks concealed beneath the steel casing, Pallas Back is a true heat-storage stove that continues to radiate heat for several hours, long after the fire has gone out. The optional drawer beneath the firebox can be used to store all sorts of utensils such as firelighters, etc.

The Pallas Back stove from Austroflamm – built to last a lifetime

Just like the top plate, the baking compartment and stove doors are crafted from robust cast iron. The handles are of fine natural wood. A single lever located beneath the firebox door controls the combustion air supply, regulating both the primary and secondary air flows and ensuring efficient combustion. The secondary air is used for what is known as the “airwash” system and keeps the viewing window of the stove clean. This way, you can enjoy the stunning play of flames in your Austroflamm stove without any obstruction.

The stove can be connected to the chimney in the traditional way with a flue pipe extending upwards (in which case the small, third hotplate is omitted), or “invisibly” directly at the rear.

The firebox lining made from Austroflamm’s patented Keramott, which is heat-resistant up to 1200°C, combines with the sophisticated combustion air system to ensure high combustion temperatures, thereby guaranteeing an outstanding heat output and a high efficiency level of almost 80% for the stove.

Two things speak for themselves: Austroflamm stoves have emission levels well below all current limits and are fully certified and approved for operation.

Boasting a nominal heat output of 9 kW, Pallas Back is a high-performance stove ideal for heating rooms with a volume of up to 305 m³.
